DNA presentation: 10th Art for Change – International Child Art Challenge and Exhibition by Discovering New Artists supported by the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust (QCT) and its proud supporters Habib Bank Limited, Bluebird Arts and Pakistan National Council of Arts. One of the largest art challenges internationally with its award-winning model to reduce inequality and create creative learning opportunities integrated into arts and design for students from all economic backgrounds through its one-for-one model. This year, we are celebrating our 10 years of impact on nearly 150,000 young lives through Art for Change. 75,000 of these young students have directly participated from 25 different countries internationally helping more than 34,500 students from marginalised and deserving backgrounds.
Every year, DNA aims to introduce themes based on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the purpose to enlighten young minds on a grass-root level. This year, we want our participants to share their artistic interpretations on preserving nature by promoting biodiversity. We want them to become ambassador of biological diversity and show why biodiversity is important to restore the planet.
2023-2024 themes is: Biodiversity – protecting and restoring ecosystems.
Biodiversity is all the different kinds of life we find in one area – the variety of plants, animals, fungi and even microorganisms that make up our natural world. Each of these species and organisms work together in ecosystems, like an intricate web, to maintain balance and support life. Thus, Recognizing the importance of biodiversity is essential in the face of rising environmental challenges.
As human activities continue to affect ecosystems, the loss of diverse species threatens the delicate balance of the Earth’s ecosystems. It is important, therefore, to protect biodiversity to preserve nature as it can also support the efforts to reduce the negative effects of climate change. By valuing, protecting, and restoring biodiversity, we can foster a harmonious coexistence with the natural world and reap the benefits it offers.
